Steve the owner is one of the best and kind hearted men I know he would give the shirt off his back for you and he will fix anything he can.
I have been there twice now. The first time the owner was in there and he was very proud of his food and made sure I had the best experience possible.
Weird.
Best food ever and owner Is awesome and they are open for business try the new Breadsticks and always order wedges. You can eat inside or outside now .
Food was pricey and very bland! The gyro meat was probably reheated and not very warm. The overall taste was lacking. There was an issue with using credit so it took at least 10 minutes to leave after we were finished so we could pay with no offer of a discount. The restaurant was dirty with cobwebs around and bathroom was disgusting.Do eat here! Save yourself some cash and eat at Jimmy Johns next door, that’s what I wish I would have done!
Service was nice. Food left much to be desired and was cold. We got a chicken shawarma, chicken gyro, and a falafel sandwich. Out of the 3, the falafel was the best. We also had a side of the potato wedges with the house spicy sauce for dipping. They were really good and the sauce was great. We were hopeful that this place would be amazing, but in the end, a $51 bill for 3 sandwiches, a large side of fries, and 3 drinks seems pretty steep.
They've changed. Use to slice meat thin now it's a thick piece. Sauce was good. That's the only thing I like.
Amazing food great environment
Steven is a good man, treats you like family. Quick, affordable, convenient. Just a man trying to survive during these times. Give this local legend a shot at preparing your next meal and you won't be disappointed. Great hummus!
Late night stop arrived at 11pm and the food here is amazing! I cant wait to come back. Grape leaves, shawarma, baklava lebonese croissant......
Some of the best Mediterranean food! Not only was it the best gyro I’ve ever had....the service was incredible!
This food is not good! Falafel was cold, soggy and tasted like cauliflower. There is no garlic in this food. No garlic dip, tabbouleh tasted dry, no Greek dressing with the salad, and the hummus has no flavor. It is not fresh or authentic Mediterranean. Sorry, but it was so bland and hard to eat. Very expensive for what you get!
The food was fabulous. I had the chicken Gyro and it was the BEST ever. Kevin, the chef, was friendly, professional, and a great cook. The place was clean and social distancing enforced. I will go back!
Great food and great service. Not complaints
best poppies ever if you get one expect to be hungry after 1of them. You can nope not just any normal pot pie these are definitely filling and dense
The Employee was very customer friendly. Food wad great. But, we did find a sticker still on the produce. Which makes me wonder if it was washed before it was chopped . also if it was dark outside there would have been only enough light in there to keep you from walking into a another customer. Please your food is great. But the condition of the shop causes one to loose thier confidence in healthy
Great food, I never leave there disappointed or hungry!
Had a gyro and it was great. It had the perfect amount of romaine, tzatziki, tomatoes and meat.
Well maintained, despite the short staff, the food is worth the wait. However just a little caution. The gyro named "chicken bacon ranch" was a bit spicy for me even with the mild. Otherwise the food was very much well prepared and I hope sometime in the near future this restaurant will have more staff. Also just a heads up, they don't accept credit cards. Cash only
My gyro was a meal in itself, and the owner was awesome. It's a rare treat to enjoy such a awesome customer experience combined with a great bite to eat.
Very good gyro.
The food was good and the employees were great... But this place needs a little makeover! We had white fish and a gyro sandwich. Gyro was great and the fish was good.
We got takeout at The Beach Deli tonight in St. Joseph. The counter guy had a mask drooped sideways around his neck, but neither he nor the cook wore a mask over their nose or mouth for a single second the entire time we were there. The chicken shwarma was a string of chopped chicken pieces held together by a membrane with iceberg lettuce on soggy pita. I’m not going to describe the gyro because I don’t want to get nauseous again.
We waited 35 minutes for sloppy food with halfway decent flavor. The lady next to us also had to wait 30 minutes for a hot dog and a Corn dog. Dont waste your time unless there isn't anyone in the store.
Ordered sampler plater. Beachside deli got order wrong and didn't even give me pitas for the order. They have messed up my order in the past and this was the last time. I called and they gave excused and promised to fix it when thy could get someone going my way. It was never fixed.Update: after 2 hours they provided rest of order. So, i added another star.
The gyro is made with literally 2 pieces of meat. They said it was pita bread but it tasted and looked like a burnt taco shell. We got 2 falafels and they were hard as a rock. The table behind us had the same comment on their falafel plate as well. Customer service was horrible.
Ordered a falafel sandwich and chicken shawarma pita. Waited for an hour and when I asked what happened, the single cook hadn't started the falafel sandwich yet. I asked for a refund and the cashier/owner became upset and immediately started being disrespectful and bad-mouthing me to the other employee. The cook was coughing and touching his hair while cooking. Neither of them wore a mask and he didn't enforce any customer to wear even though there was a sign on the door claiming state law requires a mask. In this time of a pandemic, this is genuinely unacceptable.
Excellent food and service. Love the late night hours!
Not one employee was wearing a mask.Service was horrible.Attitude was horrible.
Excellent food but a little pricey.
good for a quick bite... very friendly owner
Always great! We love the gyro's!
It has really good food and people that work there are really nice!
The food was magnificent with exquisite service and a very kind gentleman working at the cash register :)
Food tastes great and the employees are all very friendly, but the place is incredibly dirty. I'm honestly surprised that they pass health inspections (look at the ceiling behind the counter). If it was cleaner I would go back, but I got grossed out the longer I was there and the more I noticed.
Small restaurant that's open super late. I've never been dissatisfied.
GOOD FOOD AND GOOD VEGAN FOOD AND SUPER AWESOME OWNER 👍👍☺☺☺
Waited for 45 minutes for our order and the workers kept telling us the food would be right up. Food was finally ready but they got our order wrong on two sandwiches and forgot another sandwich that we paid for.
Excellent food and timely service. Payment took a little while, which slowed our departure. Not sure if you can request otherwise but we paid at the end. Would have preferred to pay right when we ordered to avoid any mistakes and/or delays.
I used to work here like 6 years ago, I can tell you for a fact do not eat here
Best gyros!
Just ate here, I was the guy who cussed loudly complimenting you guys. You guys are amazing, and keep up the work. Love you
It was a little pricey and workers could be a little more friendly
It takes awhile to get the food, but it is well with the wait. Don't be put off by the odd service, just be patient. It's the best falafel, hummus, and grape leaves I've ever had!
Gyros are not your typical gyros but they are damn good. Service may be slow but it is worth the wait. Humus is good as well and they don't skimp on the pita.
Outstanding Mediterranean and American deli plates. Great locals hangout spot in town that close till 3am. Fantastic Service everyone is very friendly.
This place is great best Mediterranean food you can get, we come here three to four times a week
Absolutely loved this place. Friendly staff, great Greek food.
YUM!!! This place has delicious Greek food and perfect for the late night munchies after the bar. And you can bring your furry friends and have dinner outside on the side walk. Really lovely spot and the Gyro Salad (no onions) is my favorite!
This is one of the places I always have to stop at when in St Joseph. The staff and owner are amazing and the food is always superb. A gyro special and laziza with potato wedges are the perfect wrap up for an afternoon at the beach.
Fantastic place to grab some Mediterranean food. The falafel sandwich (light in the veggies, but with medium spice) is excellent. Chicken Shwarma is quite good too.
Absolutely amazing!!!! The staff was great the owner was so friendly to my family and the food was just DELICIOUS!!!! I recommend to everyone!!!!! My picky son even asked to come back here! Definitely a great hidden gem in down town St Joe
Best healthy fresh food in town!Always open till 3 a.m. on the weekend!
